Our Taqueria is a place where food should be enjoyed, without judgment and without preconceptions. Eat with your hands, with other food lovers, good music and strong "cocteles."
While we do love and are proud of our traditional Mexican music and culture, we are not a museum. We are more worried about the flavour of the food and recreating the vibrant atmosphere of eating a taco on the streets of Mexico. When we eat tacos in Mexico we don't have a specific way to do it. We do it in the morning, in the afternoon, after a night out... We do it listening to Ranchera, Hip-Hop, Blues, Rock & Roll and Electro-Punk. All that matters is that it's fun and that there is enough salsa.

We love Tequila & we love Mezcal We want the city of Lisbon to fall in Love with them too. Agave Spirits are not just for margaritas or a drunken nights of shots (they are good for that too, trust us we know) but they are also complex spirits which can be the focus of a simple yet powerful cocktail menu.
Soy Pocho, y Que? Damian Irizarry grew up in the border town of El Paso, where he was confronted by both his Mexican and American roots. He learned to make tortillas and enjoy the rich complexity of Mexican food at a young age from his grandmothers. Living near the border, in Texas, New Mexico and in California he takes pride and design inspiration from Chicano and Hip-Hop culture. The idea of the taqueria has been floating around in his head for many years mainly as a means to eat free Tacos. He has been a nanny, journalist, Dj and hospitality entrepreneur. He also loves tamales and his Mom for all her support and wisdom.
La Fea Mas Guapa! Marta Fea is our resident architect, illustrator and creative genius. After her first experience eating tacos off the back of a truck or over numerous shots of Mezcal, she can't remember anymore she decided to leave the field of architecture and try her hand as a taquera. It is her mastery of materials and design that has helped create this space on a relatively non-existant budget. Marta enjoys fencing, arm wrestling, literary criticism, and long walks in outerspace.
